China Patterns
Performed in full, traditional Chinese costumes, China Patterns introduces students to Chinese culture through language lessons, historical background, on-stage demonstrations and audience interaction. By transporting the audience to a world of colorful myths, historical drama, and timeless beauty, the program weaves through many varied terrains of time, region, legend, and reality. e diversity of dance selections, authentic costumes, music, props, and narration illustrate and explain traits, customs, and patterns of Chinese life.

This 45-minute program, including a demonstration/interactive segment, introduces beloved ancient Chinese folk arts pieces, including excerpts from Peking Opera featuring the popular Monkey King character, as well as the Chinese ribbon dance.(Grades: PK, K-12, Length: 45 min.)
Chinese Acrobatic Power Plus
Our fully costumed performers use their great physical strength, precise balance, agility and dexterity to showcase their flexibility and coordination while juggling plates and straw hats. These extraordinary feats illustrate resourcefulness, playfulness and optimism of the Chinese people.
